Architecture firm Houben \/ Van Mierlo designed the new building in 2018, and it was completed in July 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel completes a block between two apartment buildings. Its L-shape creates space for a green patio. The expressive fa\u00e7ade stands out against its understated neighbours, while the inner courtyard has a calmer feel. The 34 studios are spread over five floors, and you can spot the striking canopy above the entrance from the station.<\/p>\n<p>For the new fa\u00e7ade, the architects looked at the proportions of the old one, so the character of the old hotel was preserved in a contemporary form. The light brickwork matches the fa\u00e7ades along the street and is complemented by light beige brick piers with a toothed corner.
